The Ethiopian Maritime Authority has granted the multi-modal transport licenses to the Ethiopian Railways Corporation today.
Engineer Hlina Belachew, CEO of Ethiopian Railways Corporation, was present at the ceremony and received the permit.
During the license handover, the Minister of Transport and Logistics, H.E Alemu Sime (PhD), urged the organizations to fulfill their responsibilities with professionalism; He also highlighted the crucial role of logistics in enhancing the country’s economic efficiency, increasing global competitiveness, attracting foreign direct investment, and expanding trade flows, and indicated that the ministry and the Ethiopian Maritime Authority would provide the necessary support and cooperation.

The corporation is currently on the path of transformation, and obtaining this multimodal transport operator license will greatly assist our country’s export and import trade activities in the logistics sector.
